Southern Michigan Aquatic Club

About Us

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Southern Michigan Aquatic Club. During the course of a season swimmers will learn all aspects of competitive swimming including stroke technique and legal components of racing. They will receive daily training for various types of meets and events. We offer a Short Course USA season (Fall/Winter), Summer Long Course USA season and an instructional league(Fall/Winter). The Short Course season runs from September to March. Meets are hosted on the weekends, with qualifying times required for the JO, State and Higher level meets. The Long Course season runs from April to the beginning of August. In the fall and winter seasons we also compete in the South Michigan Swim League (SMSL) which includes five local dual meets and a championship meet at the end of the season. This league gives our newer swimmers experience in attending meets at an instructional level.

Mission Statement
